Arrhythmia is improper beating of the heart, whether irregular, too fast, or too slow. It may feel like fluttering or a brief pause. It may be so brief that it doesn’t change your overall heart rate. Some arrhythmias don’t cause any symptoms. If you have an irregular heartbeat, you may need to see an electrophysiologist who can diagnose and help treat arrhythmia. We offer the most advanced arrhythmia treatment at our clinic. There are two basic kinds of arrhythmias.
- Bradycardia is when the heart rate is too slow –less than 60 beats per minute.
- Tachycardia is when the heart rate is too fast–more than 100 beats per minute.
Defibrillation and ablation are a few methods adopted for effective arrhythmia treatment worldwide. Our electrophysiologist offers cardiac defibrillation, implanted cardioverter defibrillators, and pacemaker implantation.
